Locations are approximate. I am not really suggesting that we meet in the WBAI offices! Please indicate you preferred location (by adding a comment), and whether you are open to both locations.

I see we've agreed on a time. Have we named a place?

I meant to say, good either at 6 or 8pm.

Hi ravi,

Sounds good to me so far.

Is this a ping?

Any where in New York City. Though now I think about it there is a great Turkish restaurant in Union City just outside of Hoboken and Jersey City.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this weekend. Still, I am glad Ravi proposed the meeting!

My suggestion for a place is Mogador, a Moroccan restaurant on St. Marks Place (which is equivalent to 8th St.) just east of 1st Ave on the Lower East Side. It's cheap (veggie couscous is 12 bucks, and double combo is 19), good, festive but informal, and fun for both veggies and carnivores.

I work on Friday evenings, and Saturday I have tickets to see a play on the Lower East Side at 8pm. So if you guys had dinner at Saturday on the Lower East Side at 6 I'd love to meet all you guys. Otherwise I'll probably have to miss it and I hope you have fun and I'll try and hopefully I'll be free next time.

New York should work for me, but New Brunswick would be difficult (same reason as J Gulick). I prefer Saturday, but I am more flexible about when than where.

I am arriving in NYC area on early eve of Dec 19 after 4 mos. teaching in S Korea, but what the hell, I'm game for a get-together on the eve of Dec 20, presuming that I'm recovered from my jet lag... I am car-less, and the closer to Manhattan the better... J Gulick/gluelicker and other nom de plumes in the LBO/pen-l et al universe over the years.

Re-post the invitation on the list once every day to allow people who skip threads or posts to notice it.

Good idea, ravi. Consider Brooklyn as well.

Either NYC or NB works for me. Any other location too, for that matter, that does not require me to fly, or drive more than 300 miles.

And Friday easier than Saturday.

Manhattan is a lot easier for me than New Brunswick.
