Pecha Kucha Night SF
The theme is "Pop"
This is a pretty cool idea. But I'm not too hot on the experience from twice that I've gone. It certainly attracts a big crowd. A good location that's easy access for designery folks working in the area. However, the drinks at the bar sucks. And there isn't much of a way to actually react or engage with others about what's presented. Basically the projector fires up then bam bam bam, quick presentations one after the other. You have to be quiet. People take notes.
The setup could improve, but lots of good stuff to see.

**From the site:** Designers in product design, interactive media, illustration, fashion, graphics, architecture & landscape were invited to stand-up and show the world what they can do. Pecha-Kucha is an event to share your work with your design community and is intended to gather creative individuals to share their work and ideas in a night, chilling-out, getting together and exchanging thoughts in an informal environment.
