I'm a sucker for art about suburbia. I heard a writer on the radio the other day talking about the landscapes she imagines when she is writing. She was saying that they were always the landscapes of her early childhood and that she had to make a conscious effort to introduce a different environment for her characters.
I guess in a way it's the same for all of us. Forever roaming around those empty streets.
