The Joy ofSake
5th Annual
I'd recommend showing up on time. This way you are guaranteed a chance to try all the food. They do run out. You are also given a score sheet to rate all the sake you consume, which can be good if you are trying to decide which sake to choose for your next party :) Again, no need to be a professional here, my friend and I devised our own scoring system: Ok-, Ok, Ok+, Good-, Good, Good+, Very Good, Wow, Super Wow, etc .. and it worked plenty well for us. I hope some of you can make it to enjoy this wonderful beverage!
Tickets are $70, available here .. at least they don't charge a service fee :-)

Well you will be going to a land that is home to another love of mine .. mmmmm .. chocolate. I'll make sure and keep my sake tasting list if you can bring some love home to us ;-)

Nice public post. Especially the use of the open guest list up top. However, I'll be on a plane far far away at that time, where there are no sake. Sorry to miss it.

Thanks everyone for coming! It was unfortunate that they didn't give out pencils this year .. it made marking down the sake selections impossible :-) I also wish that each sake was able to be served at its proper temperature. Regardless, it was a great time! Memphis Minnies wins my best food vote, and I love sushi, but I kept going back to them until they ran out of their 75 pounds of meat!
